Mid-size Constructor A
Apartment new-build worksite
Smart watches and helmet beacons were deployed at a high-elevation worksite with significant fall and heat-stroke risk, establishing a real-time hazard monitoring framework.
OVERVIEW
Worksite overview
Constructor A was building a 25-floor apartment block in the greater Seoul area. With subcontractor personnel rotating frequently and elevated work concentrated throughout, the company was looking for a system to prevent fall and heat-stroke incidents before they occurred. SenseZero conducted a 6-month PoC using a 4-layer combination of smart watches, helmet beacons, belt beacons, and danger-zone beacons — demonstrating a 32% reduction in high-risk alerts and a 57% reduction in response time.

CHALLENGES
Problems to solve
- 01Frequent subcontractor personnel rotation made it difficult to track safety training completion
- 02Site managers could not check in real time whether workers at height were wearing their harnesses
- 03No early-detection system for heat-stroke risk during summer months
- 04Structural delay in responding within the golden window when a fall occurred
SOLUTION
Solutions deployed by SenseZero
- S.01Watch-based heart-rate and activity monitoring for early detection of heat-stroke and overwork signs
- S.02Helmet and belt beacons for real-time detection of hard-hat wearing status and danger-zone entry
- S.0312 elevated-work zones geofenced — unauthorised entry triggers immediate watch vibration and manager alert
- S.04Non-response alert after a fall appears on the manager dashboard within 5 seconds
