SenseZero Wins Excellence Award at Ulsan Safety Innovation Technology Competition

Industrial safety and healthcare AI platform company SenseZero Co., Ltd. has received the Excellence Award at the 9th Safety Innovation Technology Competition, co-hosted by the Ulsan Creative Economy Innovation Center and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA).
SenseZero earned recognition for its technical capabilities with its "Multi-Sensor-Based Safety Control System." The core of the solution is its ability to collect location, biometric, and environmental data generated by multiple distributed sensors — including wearable devices and BLE beacons deployed across the worksite — in real time, analyze that data with AI, and detect hazard signals before an accident occurs.
SenseZero's founding principle is not "recording after the accident" but "preventing before the accident." The company name, SenseZero, embodies the mission of continuously Sensing worksite hazards and reducing industrial accidents toward Zero. Serious accidents — falls, collisions, and entrapments that recur in predictable patterns — almost always result from hazard signals accumulating until they reach a tipping point. SenseZero reads those "building risks" as data and delivers proactive warnings to both managers and workers.
The platform consists of wearables that monitor workers' real-time location, heart rate, and activity level; BLE beacons that detect hazardous zone entry and exit; an integrated control center that displays the entire worksite on a single screen; and an AI Dynamic Risk Map (DRM) that visualizes how risks accumulate over time. Built into the same platform are labor management capabilities covering attendance, labor hours, and payroll; mandatory safety management functions that automatically document compliance with the Serious Accidents Punishment Act and the Occupational Safety and Health Act; and worker health management — connecting safety, labor, and health without gaps.
The Safety Innovation Technology Competition has been held annually since 2018, with the goal of discovering and supporting the growth of startups in the industrial safety sector. This year's competition attracted a record 69 startups with AI- and smart-technology-based safety products and services applicable to industrial worksites. Following document screening and expert presentation evaluations, 10 outstanding companies were ultimately selected: 1 Grand Prize, 2 Excellence Awards, and 7 Merit Awards. Award recipients receive commercialization support including technology validation (PoC), participation in domestic and international trade shows, investment facilitation, and intellectual property protection.
Despite its relatively short history, SenseZero has rapidly built a strong foundation of technical capability and management systems — simultaneously achieving ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 (quality, environment, and occupational safety and health) certifications, and filing multiple patents in the fields of industrial safety, wearables, and AI. The company has also validated its solution's real-world applicability through PoC implementations at actual industrial worksites, and this Excellence Award further validates the value of its "prevention-before-the-accident" technology.
SenseZero CEO Do Yang-su stated: "It is deeply meaningful to receive recognition for the value of safety technology that actually works on-site — technology that intervenes before an accident happens. We will continue advancing our integrated safety and health platform that reads hazards first using multi-sensor and AI capabilities, so that more worksites experience safety not as 'documentation' but as 'prevention.'"
SenseZero Co., Ltd. develops and operates an integrated industrial safety and healthcare platform specialized in accident prevention, powered by wearables, BLE beacons, and AI.
